I want to thank a customer and all around "good guy", Colin Campbell, for bringing some pictures, from a recent business trip, that included a visit to Madras, India, to my shop. The four, shown here, pretty much show a slice of life, over there, where the Bajaj is a primary means of transportation.

There's a Bajaj Rear Engine Riksha waiting for a "fare", next to several outdoor fruit stands. The "blur" in the foreground appears to be a Bajaj scooter.

Yellow seems to be a color of choice, as the above Riksha's demonstrate. Motoring about urban streets in a Bajaj 3-wheeler is a unique adventure....and I should know--it's the vehicle I use, when I dont want to fire up my 68 GT.

Fill 'er up! Colin especially enjoyed this shot for its mirror imagery. I get about 42 Kilometres per litre, so I dont visit the service stations very often. Instead, I take the money I save in gas and put it in a coffee can, toward my next 3-wheeler purchase.

Can you find the Bajaj Riksha in this picture? I thought this pic presented an interesting juxtaposition of economic realities--An overpowering billboard beckoning the "rich & famous?" to "Discover A Passion", watching and/or playing the aristocratic game of Polo, rests atop a small building, in an area of poverty, animals roaming the streets, and, by our standards, unsanitary conditions. Somehow, I cant imagine the man, in the blue shirt, running off to buy a ticket to a Polo game.
