| Although, the cartoon above is purely fanciful and may serve to convey how much I love my dog and how nice it would be to have her with me in Heaven, it's not at all scriptural. For the Larger Catechism states that man's chief and highest end is to glorify God, and fully to enjoy Him forever. If in Heaven I have a memory of and longing for the joy I had with Petey in this life, then in Heaven with me she shall be. But, truly it is Jesus I long to see and be with and of that I am certain. For it is He Who delivered me from the bondage of sin, loves me unconditionally and leads me through the Strait Gate and along the Narrow Path that leads to the eternal Celestial City.
