Petey The Dog in the Bajaj

The below links will provide a great resourse, as you investigate the world of scooters and 3-wheelers. Above is a picture of a 1974 Bajaj, that I used to own and Petey The Dog, who loved to ride this magic machine. Just so you know, I love that dog as my own child and, therefore, she wore two harnesses (in case one would break), each attached to both sides of the bed by chains, in addition to a safety leash secured to the floor. This configuration provided for comfortable movement in the Bajaj as well as preventing her from jumping or bouncing out of the vehicle. Personally, I feel that allowing an animal to ride in an open vehicle without a saftey system is courting disaster. I also believe that the dog, who has the quality of unconditional love for it's master, is a gift from God; Their only purpose in life is to give love and serve in any capacity you are willing to train them--chaining them in backyards and otherwise "keeping them as pets", and not involving them in their human family's daily life is irresponsible, reprehensible and culpable in the first degree! Enjoy what you see here and if you have any comments or suggestions please E-Mail me.

A Bajaj ride

Now, there's one proud puppy! My Bajaj is now a fond memory--I replaced it with a great Toyota.

Petey Pics

Well, she's been bugging me so much for her own page of pictures and canine commentary, I had to give in! And, why not--she guards my shop, she's fun to hang out with, and she just plain makes me smile!

max's scooter page

I cant say enough good things about Max. Afterall, he let me "adopt" the Bajaj--I say it that way because I dont think he would have sold it to just anyone who wouldnt have really cared for it. I refer to it as a "magic machine" because of its ability to have survived 24 years of use and who knows how many owners, with only a few lovely little dents and scratches. It runs like new! Max's Scooter page is probably the only resource you'll ever need to get to where you want to go--and if you dont see what you want, just send him an e-mail--chances are very good he'll be able to answer your questions!

The Great Bajaj

This is pretty much how we used to start our day....after early morning exercise, it was a 6AM ride around the neighborhood, then a quick stop to pick up a cup of UDF coffee. Then I went out into the shop to twist wrenches to make money, while the little "road-ant" slept off breakfast. Not a bad life! Now, since I sold the Bajaj, Petey and me go for early morning power walks! Then I solo on my mountain bike!

bajaj interior

Unlike the Trihawk, you wont find a padded leather dash, here. But there is a roomy, locking storage compartment on the left! No steering wheel, either--instead, a Vespa handlebar. Note the emergency brake and reverse gear levers--Did I say I love that machine's simplicity?
